MEET ANGela WARRIOR
Meet Angela Warrior, a dedicated marine biologist whose passion for marine education is as deep as the ocean she studies. With a contagious enthusiasm for the marine world, Angela has made it her life’s mission to inspire others to appreciate and conserve our oceans. From an early age, Angela was drawn to the sea, spending countless hours on the beach with her family, developing a profound connection to marine life. This childhood fascination evolved into a lifelong commitment to understanding and protecting the oceans.
Angela earned her MSc in Marine Conservation, specializing in sharks and shark fisheries. Throughout her career , she became increasingly aware of the urgent need for public awareness and education to address the challenges sharks were facing. Fueled by this realization, she shifted her focus to marine education, aiming to bridge the gap between scientific research and public understanding.
As a passionate advocate for marine conservation, Angela actively engages in various educational initiatives. She conducts interactive workshops, lectures, and outreach programs for schools, community groups, and marine enthusiasts. In January 2022 Angie was chosen as a TEDX speaker, speaking to the world about the importance of the Human-Nature connection. Her dynamic presentations are designed to instill a sense of wonder about the ocean, fostering a deep appreciation for its biodiversity and ecological importance.
In addition to her educational pursuits, Angela actively collaborates with conservation organizations and local communities to implement effective marine protection measures. She believes that by empowering people with knowledge, they can become stewards of the oceans, contributing to sustainable practices and policies.
